A few weeks back, we attended two different craft shows and I really wanted to share the experience with everyone. Since it is Christmas break and everything is settling down I finally have time to share.
The first craft show we went to was called The Annual Holiday Festival, and it was held in El Reno, Oklahoma. It was a two day craft show on November 24th and 25th. We were unable to attend on the first day since it was Black Friday - we had to recover from the Christmas shopping we did the night before. We did set up that evening though and were there bright and early on the 25th. My sister and my mom were both there to help me. (Thank you guys!! You are life savers!!!) We met some really sweet people while we were there, but it was a really small show. We had about three people buy from us which was better than some other people did. So, we left early and disappointed. I was only disappointed because we didn't do as well as my expectations. I want to make it clear though that we were extremely grateful for the sales we did make, the experience, and the people we met while we were there!
The second craft show gave me much more hope for craft shows in the future. This show was in my home town, Watonga, Oklahoma. It was Watonga's annual Christmas Bazaar. The Bazaar was the weekend after the El Reno craft show - the first weekend of December. There were so many vendors there along with Santa and a concession stand. I didn't have to pay for the booth at this show because a family friend named Joyce was so sweet as to share her booth with me. (Thank you so much, Joyce!! I am still super grateful.) So, I sat with her and her mom which was such a blast! My mom and my sister came to see me and stayed most of the time. We ended up with several sales, and I finally hit and passed my break even point. To sum it up, this craft show was super fun and successful.
Thank you everyone who came to see us while we were at each festival! I greatly appreciate everyone's support - I cannot say it enough. Thanks to the Watonga Christmas Bazaar, I will be attending many more craft shows in the future. I hope to see everyone at the future craft shows; don't worry I will let everyone know which ones Radiant Homes will be at.
